A few weeks ago we reported on Josef Jiskra’s 80th birthday. Now, as a follow-up to his 80th, a CD has been released, recorded by the well-known Bohemian wind band “The 12 Pilsner”. Sensibly titled “The 12 Pilsners play music by Josef Jiskra“.
The roots of all his compositions lie unmistakably in his motherland and always express the “moods of his Bohemian heart” in a different way. It is not without reason that the uniqueness and sensitivity of his diverse works have led him to win several composition competitions in Germany.
