WASBE Conference Prague – a review

In July 2022 it was that time again: a wind music meeting of a special kind. The WASBE Confernce in Prague presented a showcase of symphonic wind music with orchestras from all over the world. After so many years of Corona abstinence, it was nice to meet up again with old and young friends from earlier times. To talk shop, to chat, to go to concerts and to discuss the performances. Of course, food and drink were not to be missed, as Czech cuisine is known for all kinds of specialities.

The weather showed itself from its best side and those who found it too hot in the afternoon crawled into the cool rooms of the seminars or into the exhibition room where publishers, organisations and also our association were represented with the musicainf.net sheet music database.

Alexandra Link has compiled a very clear list of what is worth hearing, seeing and mentioning on her brass band blog. As an expert, she has more competence here than we do, which is why I will refrain from making my own comment on the WASBE Conference. Please read (in German):
