You ask – we help, part 2

I have been working with computers for 40 years. No matter whether you change something in the hardware or software, there is always a rat’s tail of problems that need to be solved. Since in the last twenty years also in our system constantly adjustments were made, there are inquiries with the users of the data base, if one or the other does not function in such a way, as it should be. So here are a few requests (and solutions) that have reached us recently. If you still have problems, please do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form at https://de.musicainfo.net/kontakt.php or by phone via +43 677 61925641.

  1. Help, the login works for me, but not for my colleagues, although the same account is used..

The solution:

  • Please check if the password is identical for you and your colleagues. Additionally, please make sure that MusicaInfo is called correctly in the language you want, i.e. with the language prefix: de.musicainfo.net, fr.musicainfo.net, etc.
  1. Help, I always get the English page.

The solution:

Please put the desired language in front of the web address followed by a “.”, e.g. de.musicainfo.net, en.musicainfo.net, fr.musicainfo.net etc. Now MusicaInfo will be loaded in the desired language.

If you only enter https://musicainfo.net into the browser, i.e. without specifying the language, you will automatically land on the website in English.

  1. Help, I have to request a new passportword every time I log in.

The solution:

We have recently changed the password encryption in several steps (passwords are stored only encrypted) . Therefore, some users had to request a new password several times for security reasons. Please remember your new password and save it in your password manager, if necessary, so that an old, invalid password is not used by mistake.

  1. The search does not work

The solution:

We have noticed that some browsers, if the language of the displayed page does not match the language set in the browser, automatically performs a translation in the background without the user noticing. As a result, however, the search no longer works. Please put the desired language or the language of your browser in front of the web address followed by a “.”, e.g. de.musicainfo.net, en.musicainfo.net, fr.musicainfo.net etc.. Now MusicaInfo will be loaded in the desired language.

If you only enter https://musicainfo.net into the browser, i.e. without specifying the language, you will automatically land on the website in English.
