Dead-believers live longer
A few years ago, almost rationalized to death, military music has risen from the ashes like a phoenix. Under the musical direction of military conductor Gernot Haidegger., Militärmusik Oberösterreich has recorded a new CD for the Dutch publisher Tierolff at the Vogler Air Base in Hörsching (Austria). The technical direction of the recording was based on the tried and tested collaboration with the FS-Studio (Franz Schindlauer), which had previously produced numerous CDs for Tierolff and military music in Upper Austria.
This CD, which will be released at the end of June/beginning of July, will contain 20 new pieces of music. Compositions and arrangements by Amir Molookpour, Benoît Chantry, Wil van der Beek, Fritz Neuböck, Thomas Asanger, Ivo Kouwenhoven, Sven Van Calster, Daniel Muck, Rob Balfoort, Wim Laseroms, Sam Daniels, Matteo Firmi, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Julius Fucik and Johan Nijs can be heard.
It is a joy for everyone when military music in Upper Austria has returned to its old form.
