Crystal Records specialises in first-class instrumental solo and ensemble recordings and has been called “probably the best wind catalogue in the world” by Fanfare Magazine and “the premier wind label in the world” by Stevenson CD Guide. These excellent attributes are no coincidence, in fact Crystal Records has one of the most extensive catalogues in the wind chamber music sector. Here one finds music in the rare instrumentation for two contrabassoons as well as collections by contemporary composers. Alan Hovhannes, for example, should be mentioned here.

But historical recordings have also been revised and reissued. In fact, it is fun to browse through the publisher’s catalogue. Again and again, one comes across interesting recordings, rare instrumentations, new recordings of early music and recordings of avant-garde compositions.

The complete catalogue has been revised, you can find the catalogue here.
