Why is Billy Bluemoon afraid of cacti?

What do cacti and a stolen gramophone have in common?

Of course: the needle. And Billy Bluemoon is terrified of these cactus needles. He has to look for the stolen gramophone in the Wild West. This is the home of the bison and the cacti, the Indians and the sheriffs. The sheriffs brought order, the Indians hunted bison, the cacti stabbed – and that hurts. Billy Bluemoon knew that, so he avoided leaning against cacti or dressing up as a bison.

This musical fairy tale for speaker and flexible wind ensemble has been published by Difem (Switzerland). The text is available in French, German and Italian. In addition there are many other current, popular and traditional works in the new publications of the publishing house.
